For me, it's not. That's why when someone texted me today when I left the bank, to do the said situation, I thought several times before I finally decided.

Actually, it's a 'she' not a 'he.' She's one of my customers at eBay. I haven't met her yet. Or even talked to her personally. We did all transactions thru text and email.

Time is running out and she couldn't deposit the money because the bank is too far from her. She will send me the money through Smart Money and I will deposit my money to her account. I said, Smart Money system is down today. I can't deposit any money to her account unless she had transferred the money to my Smart Money account.

She needs to deposit P1,600 to her account and she'll pay me P1,700.

Her SM account had only P1,000. She sent it to me, told me to wait for the P700 while she look for E-loading center to reload her SM. She said, I could deposit the P900 if she can't transfer the P700. But I have to leave the amount blank in the deposit slip until I reach the teller.

I didn't wait for her. I deposited the P900 to her account and waited for her text. After 10 minutes, she had transferred P700 to my SM account. I filled up another deposit slip and gave the P700 to the teller.

I earned P100 that day minus P7.50 fare. How? By gaining trust.

My previous site http://www.johnheart.com has gone to redemption status. Redemption fee is $160 plus the renewal fee of $14.95 for one year. That was the first hosted site I've made and I have gained web knowledge from it. The fees are too expensive for me now. So, I bought another domain and webhosting.

The name of the site is PinoyWriter. And me, as JohnHeart, will stay as JohnHeart on that new site. I can't think of any other pen name except JohnHeart. I'm thinking of a last name as most authors do but I can't think of one yet.

The history of the name JohnHeart was not taken from the names of two celebrities: John Pratts and Heart Evangelista (JohnHeart has already existed even before the two has been linked together). Rather, it was the name of my favorite saint and apostle - St. John the Beloved. And because St. John is the closest apostle to Jesus, he must have a heart next to God like King David. Other than that, there's no other reason why I have a pen name JohnHeart.

Hopefully by Monday as soon as I pay hostingph.com, the new site will be available right away. I have not planned any agenda on this site but I only want to have a sense of ownership for what I write: good or bad.

Now that your memory card is empty proceed with these instructions:

Insert the card into your cellphone.
Browse menus.
If it works fine, reformat the memory card using your cellphone.
After that, remove the memory card and insert it into the memory card reader.
Copy backup files from your computer to your memory card.
Insert the memory card into your cellphone.

Heart Problem Is Too Expensive

Today, 9 AM I went to the hospital for 24-hour holter and 2-D Echo/Duplex. Holter costs P3,000 while 2DED costs P2,600. Reading my cardiologist's prescription, it says 2DED and 24 hour holter. I decided to only have 2DED tomorrow by 5 PM and see my cardiologist. Maybe I'll have holter, later when I got enough money.

Prayer Time Schedule

I scheduled my prayer time for Rosary every 12:30 AM before I go to sleep and 9:30 AM when I wake up in the morning. Just finished now and while praying, my mind keeps wandering in the past where we begin praying the Rosary before the prayer meeting starts.

Since it's Thursday today, I recited the Sorrowful Mysteries. I was touched at the 4th mystery which is the Carrying of the Cross.

Condemned to death, Jesus carries the heavy cross to Calvary. Let us admire our Savior's patience and ask for patience in our sufferings.

Although Jesus suffered and died -- he died in an honorable death. Saving the world's from slavery of sins. I wish I could. I wish I could endure the sufferings. I wish I will die in an honorable way, too.

Tagalog Love Story

Last night, I started writing another story. Not an adventure or detective story, but this time, a love story written in Tagalog language. I'm aiming for publication at Precious Hearts Romances. I doubt I could finish the story. I may not but it's a good exercise.

The Firm Film Review

I should have rented the movie The Firm from Video City but they don't have it. I bought one for P150, watched it, be disgusted, and thrown it on eBay.

Sound effect is poor. In the intense situation all throughout the movie, more or less only two piano keys and notes are being played.

Plot was changed. In the book, Abby knows every plans of her husband. In the movie, she made her own plan. Eventhough I have read the book, I can't follow the flow of the story in the movie.

Character roles were swapped. One of them: they made Abby a bitch. A respectable wife and a teacher of kids.

For three CDs, they were not able to produce the best out of the book.

I would suggest a remake and ditch this current one.

Medical Check Up Results

I didn't wait for Sunday medical check-up. I did it last Saturday four in the afternoon. While I'm away, my technician, took care of my store for two hours.

The result was 120/80 for BP (ideal) and the ECG was fine. The cardiologist told me to take iron for ninety days because my CBC is low. He also suggested the 2DED and 24 hour Holter (tape recording heart activity in 24 hours).

Again, I'm Broken-Hearted

I went to Sta. Lucia Mall tonight and withdrew money from the ATM machine. After I turned my back away several steps from the said machine, I felt myself like a paper caught in a whirlwind. I looked at people around me and thought there's an earthquake going on but they didn't acted as if there's one. So, I was sure something is wrong with me. I stopped walking for a while and looked for handrail around then stayed there for the mean time.

This was the first time I experienced this and I was afraid to walk around the mall just to collapse. Who will help me? Who will take care of me? Would they snatch my cellphone? Questions like those entered my mind. I texted my friend who is at the pharmacy business and asked for advice. What medication. He said, I take Vitamin B Complex tablet and Serc 8mg once a day. So I went down the basement and bought two pieces for each prescription at Mercury Drugstore.

I scheduled myself for medical check up on Sunday because for several days now, my heart problem (left ventricular hypertrophy) four years ago is going back.

The alarm on my phone woke me up at exactly 6 o'clock. It's time to prepare. But I thought it's still early for a 9 o'clock interview. I set it to 7 o'clock. As soon as I went down from my bed, took a bath, wore my clothes, sipped a cup of coffee, and printed my resume, I'm on my way to Makati with just one brown envelope in my hand.

The search for the company did not took me so long as the traffic jam I hoped I took the route of LRT instead and not of the bus'. I have asked three security guards before I finally found the building. The time's 10:30. I was late.

The company seems legitimate. You could see right away a poster that reads you don't have to pay the agency for anything until you have been employed and received your salary. And that's impressive.

For curiousity sake I asked where they got my contact information. And her reply was not satisfying. No one seems to know, maybe someone referred, they don't know. She gave me a form to fill up. And I gave her my resume. She asked for any supporting documents but I don't have any with me. In fact, I borrowed their ballpen.

Two applicants were seated aside from me. Some just come and go. While I'm writing, the two were having a happy conversation. You know, one do most of the talking while the other is listening.

The facilitator called us two inside the conference room. Not for a meeting or an interview but to take an exam. The talker was left in the lobby.

The exam was too easy. It's only about 10 questions. I would finished it more faster if only they have provided a bigger copy of the drawings. You can't blame the facilitator. He opened the drawings on the computer in front of us and still the numbers are too small to read.

No sweat. Exam's finished. He said, we eat our lunch and return.

True to the word I received last Thursday, they will record the interview. It's through a video camera attached to the computer. The facilitator briefed me first before he finally focused the video camera to me and hit the record button on the computer.

I have three questions to answer: three previous jobs I had, seminars or courses attended and softwares mastered or comprehended.

I stammered during the interview. I'm confident but I could hear my voice trembled. There's no butterfly in my chest. Every answers I gave sounded like I'm selling myself.

And again, no sweat. When the facilitator said the interview is finished, I said, the acting too is finished with a smile on my face.

A Job Call From A Never-Heard-Company

Last Thursday 3:10PM I got a phone call from someone while I'm having my lunch (too late ha?) in my favourite restaurant. She is from a company I never heard of and she's asking me to come to their office for an interview -- a job interview.

Didn't you emailed me?, I asked. She said, No, this is it, we're calling you, to inform you. You have an interview if you're available on Monday. I said OK to all her questions but behind my answers I kept thinking what company is this and what job position I have applied for.

I've finished my lunch and went to my store, and received another call from her. This time, telling me if I could possibly come on Tuesday because it's holiday on Monday. Please come early in the morning so you'll be the first to be interviewed. Please bring two sets of your resume and documents. And just wear casual clothes for VTR.

I asked myself, What? VTR? I wrote down their address as she dictated it and I could hardly understand what I've written.

So, when I got home I searched for the name of the company in the internet and got the correct address. I've even looked for Jobstreet if I really applied for this company and nowhere I could find it.

I have to sleep early tonight and wake up early around six in the morning.

Full Complete Mass

Attended mass tonight. I've noticed one old woman walking and begging for money inside the crowded church. What would you do when this beggar comes to you? Give what you will give in the offertory? Or just do the opposite?

Sometimes hearing mass is full of meaning when you have a big problem that you have to plead for miracles to happen. And when you're up, mass is like heaven on earth full of choirs of angels.

Reading E-Books On My Cellphone

I enjoy reading e-books on my Nokia 6230 phone every night before I go to sleep. Although the screen is small, the text is readable. I could also turn off the light in my room and lie on my bed while reading. I'm planning to buy a phone with bigger screen so I could read more lines before going to the next screen.

My cellphone technician told me today that his cousin sold her Nokia 6630 (a vodaphone) for only P 1,800. I told him, I would have buy it if I only knew.

I find it easy to read e-books on my phone instead on my PDA. I could easily use it wherever I go especially when I commute. Or while waiting and have nothing to do. My phone holds three e-books of novels right now. Two are fiction and the other is non-fiction. It's comfortable. No need to bring real books that make my knapsack bulky and heavy.

Book I've Consumed - Frank McCourt's Teacher Man: A Memoir

Last night, I've finished reading Frank McCourt's Teacher Man: A Memoir. It's almost two weeks since I bought it. What can I say about the book.

At the first quarter, I can't help myself but laugh because the story is really funny, for me at least. At the middle of the book, there's the content, which I think I have to be more attentive to what I'm reading. And at the last quarter, I laugh a bit. Maybe once or twice. The last chapter only says, "I'll try." And the result of that words are three published books by Frank McCourt.

Except that I have to go back and read a few paragraphs because it's not clear who's talking, overall, the book is worth reading.

I would reccommend reading Angela's Ashes and 'Tis first before reading this book.

Two days ago, three people borrowed money from me with interest. Today, another three. They are employee, jeepney and store owners. I guess all of them have families of their own. They crowded my store because they all come in partners.

To ensure that all of them pay, I asked them for any proof of billing or cedula. I also issued a Promissory Note for each one of them with their signatures.

Some people say money lending with interest is bad because you take advantage of unfortunate people. Anyone who accuse you of that should answer why he has no say against banks and credit cards companies.

Marikina Improvements Along the Road

Yesterday, while eating lunch in a restaurant, I noticed the painted houses across the street in our barangay in Marikina. I told the owner of the restaurant that the owner of those houses fixed it so fast. She said, they did not fixed it. It's one of the projects of our Mayor in Marikina City. She (the Mayor) will improve the appearance of all houses and establishments along the road. Everything like paint, plywood, labor, is free except for the cement and hollow blocks.

Today, they were busy on the restaurant's side.

Habit, Moment, and Dream

I have this habit, out of curiousity, I would read few paragraphs at the first chapter of the book of an author and then leave it. There's nothing I have learned from it. I'm just wasting my time.

But now, I enjoy reading Frank McCourt's Teacher Man before I go to bed. That's the thing that makes my day.

Before I forget, I have this wonderful dream, two days ago about a friend who is married now. In my dream, she's playing with other boys while I'm watching them. At the second part of my dream, she come to me while I'm sitting under a tree. And they laugh at me.

I courted this girl before. She was once a stewardess and now she's married. And soon...will be having a baby. Goodluck, dear!

Journalist's Code of Ethics - Also For Bloggers?

One way or another we bloggers are like journalists. Our blogs contain local news, reviews, politics, surveys, polls, etc.

Our freedom of speech as cited on the Bill of Rights Article 3 Section 4 makes us bold in expressing our opinions in our speech or in our writing.

It might be helpful to read and ponder on the Journalist's Code of Ethics in the Philippines, and use what's applicable to us before we publish any entries into our blogs. Here's the code:

I. I shall scrupulously report and interpret the news, taking care not to suppress essential facts nor to distort the truth by omission or improper emphasis. I recognize the duty to air the other side and the duty to correct substantive errors promptly.

II. I shall not violate confidential information on material given me in the exercise of my calling.

III. I shall resort only to fair and honest methods in my effort to obtain news, photographs and/or documents, and shall properly identify myself as a representative of the press when obtaining any personal interview intended for publication.

Archie, when he's still a puppyI stood there silently, surrounded by cages, then tears rolled down on my face.

I can't be with my dog anymore. I can't redeem him because of Marikina City Ordinance.

He was taken last Friday while on leash by the window. I woke up early on Saturday and went to The Animal Protection and Council Office (APCO) but they are closed. So, I returned today.

The dogkeeper said, You can't take him. Try to talk to APCO and they will say the same thing. The APCO said, I'm sorry you can't take him. We're just following the ordinance. I talked to the dogkeeper the second time. He said, You can't take him.

Tears began to flow on my face.

I slowly turned my back without looking at my dog and walked towards the gate. I don't want him to think of me. I took my handkerchief and wiped away my tears while paying the tricycle driver I hired to bring my dog home.

I walked head down while crying and when it stopped, I rode a jeepney on my way home.

Inside my room, as I sat on my chair, I cried again...this time, with sound. The memory is still fresh...how loud my dog cried as I left him. I couldn't say more. You know how it feels to be with your pet for more than a year then...gone.

Goodbye, Archie. I will miss those plays we had.

On Becoming A Good Contortionist

I'll rush to buy one in the bookstore today. I'm hoping this book will be another bestseller like his two books: Angela's Ashes and 'Tis.

I like his books because it's clearly written. It's so easy to understand. He has a sense of humor. And above all, how he handles life is interesting.

Here's my bet.

It is popular simply because they sell plenty of second-hand books. More books means more choices.
The quality of second-hand books are good as new.
The price is low.

But why do most internet users and book lovers like you still go to eBay to purchase books? I can only think few from my own point of view.

eBay has also plenty of books to choose from.
Price is reasonable. You only add a shipment fee.
It's so easy to search for any books you like.
You don't have to waste your time going to booksale.
You could simply hit the Buy It Now button, pay the seller and wait for the books to come at your door.
Payment is easy. Simply type and send the amount on your cellphone if you have Smart Money or G-Cash. Or deposit the money into any bank near you at any convenient time.
After you've read the book, you can sell it again.

In short, we like to purchase books from eBay because it is convenient to do so.

Today, I will check if the technician has fixed my videoke player. He promised to deliver it by July 20 because we will use it after the christening of my nephew. I texted and called him several times and I got no reply.

I used another phone and was able to talked to him last July 24. I was furious. He has no clear answer what he did with my player. I told him to bring it back. He cannot. I asked him, why? He is still looking for a replacement for the defective part. I said, don't bother anymore. Just bring it back to me. He said, I can but I can't give the P1,000 downpayment back to you right away. And why, I asked him. I used it for my transportation. I replied, how much is the transportation from Marikina to Quiapo? And you did nothing to fix my player. We need it by July 20 but you didn't communicate or inform me what's happening.

I ended our conversation and texted him that if he cannot bring it back to me at 4PM the next day I will be sorry for him. I will bring a police to arrest him.

On the next day I let the day passed. But on the next day I went to their house. I have only talked to her mother because he's in Quiapo. His mother pleaded that she will talked to him. Saturday passed and her son didn't showed up. That's why I need to see him today.

Another thing that I want to do today is write one more article about contortiion for my client. She needs two and I sent two to her. She said the first one is well done but she needs it to be informational and so I just posted it here in my blog. She had no comment yet about the second article I sent her yesterday. Maybe she's on day off.

And the last important thing that I will do today is to sell some unsold Wi-Max card I have here in store. I will sell it at a lower price at eBay. This is P400 if you buy at Wi-Max main office but I will sell it for only P250.

Is it time to say goodbye to Yahoo?

Google just launched three new features for Google Talk which I think are very useful. If you are not familiar with Google Talk, it's like Yahoo Instant Messenger only that it is owned by a different company and no other than Google.

The three newly added features are:

1. File Transfer
2. Voice Mail and
3. Music Status

You can find more info here.

File Transfer. It says 'there's no restriction on file size or file type' and when you send a photo you can see a preview directly into the chat session.

Voice Mail. If you are tired of typing email and want to just record your voice and send it via email it's now possible. Time limit for recording is 10 minutes long.

Music Status. Now, your chatmates can see what music you're listening to if you select "Show current music track" from your status drop-down menu.

All these features are new to Google but not to Yahoo, it has all these features except the chat and email integration.

Is there a kick in your gut to leave Yahoo IM altogether? Or if I restate the question, would these newly added features finally make you shift to Google Talk?

My first and last contortion show

Just the other day I am watching a TV show, from my favorite channel, of people who have amazing contortion skills.

Sitting on a sofa, I feel I want to imitate what they are doing.

So, I stand up straight. Bend my body forward as slow as I can without folding my legs. The first girl in the show clips her neck behind her legs in a snap. I barely makes 90 degrees bend and I feel my back ache. Contortion trick is a pain in the ass, I said to myself. I feel my body heat and I begin to perspire.

I sit and relax. The first girl completed her exhibition and run towards the back stage while the second girl moves forward to display another acrobatic skills. I run to the fridge to get a glass of cold water as the host interviews the second girl.

“When did you learn or discover your talent as a contortionist,” asked the host.

“I’ve learned this skill since I was in grade school,” said the girl.

“Did you learn it by yourself?”

“Yes. Everytime I dropped something, I would pick it up without bending my legs. At first, I was afraid I will break my backbones but it did not happen. So I try some other bendings and flexings.”

“And what are those? OK ladies and gentlemen let’s watch her perform another exciting body contortions.”

I put the glass of water on the table and watch her closely. This time I have no plan of imitating her. If the first girl bend her body forward, this girl does the reverse. She curves her back down the back of her feet like a reverse rain drop. Wow! The audience clap their hands and I close my open mouth.

I lay my back on the sofa and all of a sudden the host is calling my name -- to come on stage. I almost jump off my feet from the sofa when I saw myself entering the stage. On the stage, I lay myself facing the floor. I also curve my back so both my feet and head meet in the air.

I press my hand on my mouth. That’s impossible! But on TV I am showing the people another unbelievable body contortion. They are watching my unusual strength on a handstand where my feet is up in the air -- holding a bow and an arrow. My left feet stretch the string while my right feet holds the bow. I let go of the arrow. The string gives a loud twang. The arrow fly smoothly and slowly in the air. There is writing on the arrow head. It reads: “To hell with ambitious contortionist.”

The arrow hits the target. And the target was me. And the arrow was the remote control of my TV.

After reading the headline, you might ask:

"What?"

"Isn't Smart Wi-fi or Smart Bro wireless?"

"Why do you want to make it wireless for my internet?"

And my answer is, "Yes. It is wireless. From your antenna connecting to another antenna, and connecting to Smart base station which is the Meridian, it is wireless."

But if you are using a laptop for your internet, you probably want it to be wireless. You don't want that antenna cable hanging on your laptop like a tail following wherever you go inside the house. Do you?

I could not believe what the Smart customer service staff told me on the phone. That there is no way at the moment that you can make it wireless. If there is a wireless mouse, if there is a wireless keyboard, and if there is a wireless printer, surely a wireless internet from the antenna cable to the laptop lan card is possible!

Having a wireless connection has many advantages. You don't have to worry stepping on that cable again. Do you want your laptop at the edge of a dining table fly when your foot sweep the cable?

Another advantage is that you can share your internet connection if your neighbor is your relative. Isn't that great? Both of you enjoy full access while each of you only pay half of the monthly bill. I'm only talking of two. How about if you you are four sharing one internet connection? What is P998 divided by 4? P250? Can I see you smiling?

But how? You are not alone to ask this question. And at this very moment, too many Smart Wi-Fi users are enjoying this secret that I will reveal.

Ready? What do you need?

You only need two (2) equipment.

A wireless card (PCMCIA). Before buying this, check your laptop if it has a built-in wireless card. That is not enough to know if you have a built-in wireless card. Check the transmit range. If that is 54 Mbit/s you don't need to buy a PCMCIA. But if you have only 11 Mbit/s, and don't want it similar to dial-up transfer rate, purchase one. PCMCIA is inserted in a card slot of your laptop. It is physically very light and light also for your tight budget.

Check what type of card slot you have, to know a suitable PCMCIA. Or better bring your laptop when you purchase. Gilmore is a best place to canvass the price. PC Express has an online website at http://www.pcx.com.ph/ and the price of Surecom WiFi PCMCIA EP-9428G 54mbps is P 1,100.00.

A wireless router. Your antenna cable connects to this equipment which what they call WRT54G. Wireless connection ranges from 30 to 50 meters behind walls. Mount this on any part of your house and say goodbye to cable. Brand matters but I guess the effectiveness is similar.

Linksys is about P3,500 while Surecom is only P 2,350. Check Gilmore or search for it online. I also got the price of Surecom EP9510AX WiFi Router from PC Express.

A wireless usb. Ooops! Didn't I say you only need two equipment to make a wireless internet connection? Yes. You can use this usb as a substitute to PCMCIA. And plug it in the usb lan port. Also, choose a usb version b 54mbps.

Now, there you have it. Expensive? Do the math.

My mother is coming tomorrow together with my brother's wife and kids. They will arrive at about 5 in the morning in Cubao. I'm sure I'm still snoring by the time they reach our home in Marikina.

This morning, my brother and I were watching a movie -- The Clockstoppers. But when he has inserted the second disc, the CD player won't read it. We also tried the first disc but without success. The same thing has happend to our PS2 two days ago. It won't read any disc anymore because it was overused for long hours of game.

We have a replacement though but only for the video player. Before it all broke down, we have asked mother to bring the videoke player here. They seldom use it in the province. And here in Marikina, we're thinking of stretching our throat especially in some occassions where we are in front of the bottles of beer.

I thought of cleaning the lense tonight but I forgot to bring the CD Head cleaner I have in store.

I have finished redesigning my blog. I'm not completely satisfied yet. I like the Ajax seach except that it gives a result of outdated links.

I'm not feeling well today. My body is too heavy, my head is aching, and my nose is clogged. I want to take a rest but I have to go to Sta. Lucia Mall to refill the printer cartridge. I have to because I will print the baptismal invitation card for my brother.

While I'm there, I could reload my Smart Money, too. Transfer it to my Wi-max account and sell it as load wallet.

On vitamin articles, I have started writing the overview. It's not that impressive because I have only one source and that's the Idiot's Guide to Vitamins. :)

Article writing

So far, I have written two articles for my client. Both are about food processor: the Cuisinart and KitchenAid.

I discovered that it's really hard to write an article about something that I do not know. I read two or three sites before I have come up with an article. I also read three or more magazines to get more ideas how writers promote a product.

Eight more articles to go. And it seems my head will explode. Add to that, I work from 1:00 AM 'til 5:00 AM. That's why I feel I would freak out when someone bothers my sleep.

Another client asks me to write an article about vitamins. I have not started yet. It's a long way to go since it will tackle every kind of vitamins.

I got new project

Another employer asked me for 2 sample articles. So, I made another one aside from the one I wrote yesterday. I'm impressed I could write an article in just a matter of 2 hours. That was fast. At least for me. Some could write in minutes.

Good news is: the first employer will give me a project. Two topics and less than 100 articles per month. Forget about the price. I didn't demand for a higher price. I could even write for free.

Profit Margin: Why you need to know it.

If you are into e-loading business like me, it is important to know how much you earn for every e-load you purchase. It is not enough to know the cost of e-load purchase and what amount of e-load goes to your electronic wallet or e-wallet.

I have encountered one dealer whose payment and e-loading scheme is different from other dealers. Particularly in Globe e-wallet.

Normally, if you asks for 500 e-wallet you will pay the dealer P430. You got 14% discount. Globe has changed the price and now we're paying the dealer P435 for 500 e-wallet. We got only 13% discount and we have a profit of P65. It also mean that we have a 13% profit margin.

Now, here's the catch.

The dealer I mentioned above does not deduct 13% from 500 e-wallet. Instead, you will pay P500 and he will add 13% or 65 to your e-wallet. The total e-wallet that you will receive is 565.

At the first glance, you may think your profit is P65. And you're right but 13% is not a profit margin, it's a mark-up. Remember that profit margin is profit divided by gross sale.

So, 65 divided by 565 is only 0.115 or 11.5%

I have talked to this dealer on the phone and I am impressed that he succeeded in e-load dealership without knowing the difference between profit margin and mark-up. All he has to tell me is that he doesn't care about it and doesn't need any accountant to tell him the difference.

So, how much profit do you loss from this dealer? Simple.

If you pay him P435, you will receive 491.55 (435 x 1.13) or 491 e-wallet.

If you pay P435 to other dealers, you will receive 500 e-wallet.

You will loss P9 of profit from him.

Profit margin - worth knowing or trashing?

I'm reading the On Writing by Stephen King again. I read this on my PDA before I sleep. It's encouraging for us writers. Ah ow, I'm sorry if I declare I'm one.

Are you also wondering why I sleep in the morning and not in the evening? Maybe yes, maybe no or maybe you don't care at all. If you're one of those who said yes, here's my answer.

My stores opens at 10 o'clock in the morning and closes at 9 o'clock in the evening. One actually closes at 10 o'clock. Whether I go to my stores or not it will continue to operate. I have what we call 'tindera' (saleslady) on each store.

One of my stores accepts CD burning or copying of songs to blank CD. That's my job. If all the songs are available in my storage drive, I will burn it right away in the evening or in the morning. If it's not, I will download it from the internet using Limewire. Oh, is it illegal?

Sometimes my tindera will text me the songs our customer is asking. When I'm done with them, I prepare to go to my store. Normally between 11AM and 3PM. I'll be there until closing time.

I think I have answered the question. I sleep in the morning because I have no definite time to go to work.

Store closing

Two more days starting today and my store in Sta. Lucia will close. I have never mentioned that that store was robbed on its third day of operation. The thief(ves) took the two cellphones for e-loading, one car charger, all the money including all the coins, one sim card, one cellphone housing and one cellphone card. We're still puzzled that all the phone cards were not taken.

I'm waiting for my brother if he could borrow the pick-up from their company that I could use to transfer all things back to Nangka. I'll spend P600 if I hire a service. I told my brother I could give the money to them instead.

A Web 2.0 look layout?

I was tired of looking at my blog's template so I've decided to redesign it. I took the template from one of the Blogger's Templates, changed the css styles and voila a new look for my blog.

The loading of page is as fast as a snap of your finger. Resize your browser and this will proportionally adjust itself.

I want to write but...I don't know. When I think of some sentences floating inside my head, I felt it was singing. The thought of writing it brings a sense of happiness. There's no story in it but by merely constructing that sentences is like arranging music notes to give a soothing sound of melody. Maybe I'm just imagining.

In front of me is my computer, I may not be able to write this if I'm elsewhere. The main door is still open, as well as the windows. The electric fan is steady blowing and the cold air outside fills the room. I feel like going to bed. It's late anyway. And it might be good if I lie down now.

A Thief on Disguise

You see that guy at the back of the conductor's seat, with a bandage of handerchief covering half of his face and hugging a synthetic old dirty black bag? Beware of him. Don't pass your fare thru him. He will pass it to the conductor but will keep one (1) peso or more of your fare and slip it on a slit in front of his bag. Easy job, isn't it?

The handkerchief serves to hide familiarity of himself or if he's on duty for the whole day -- to protect his lungs from the road's air pollution.

The bag might be already full of coins when we saw him that night.

1 Year Old Smart Bookstore

Here's the graph of the gross sale of my bookstore. It started last April 2005 with a gross sale of less than 3,000. Imagine removing the costs of sale and deducting the fix expenses like space rental and wages. Surely, my pocket would overreact. Since I've started with nothing but books no wonder it crawled so hard.

By the month of May it slowly climbed up. It's because I mixed it up with school and office supplies and my bookstore is near the school. It continue rising up until July. And began to fall down by August.

I'm starting another 12 month. I should start buying school and office supplies now. I could but my pocket is bleeding. E-Load Unlimited is filling my pocket while my stall in Sta. Lucia is a siphon. I need more capital in short. Or else I have to buy small stocks and earn less. We can't supply our customers' needs completely. We have to say, "We've run out of stock. Please come back next week." That's bad for the spirit of every entreprenuer -- "pera na naging bato pa!"

March Sales Summary

If I compare my sales last February, this month of March is higher by 1,300. Although the repair got low sales as every technician felt the downfall of sales for the month of March, the rest of my sources of sales increased.

Below is the summary of sales for the month of March:

Accessories: 6,930
Prepaid cards: 930

Photocopying: 1,697
Load wallet: 40
Repair: 3,611

Total: 16,844
Less overhead expenses: 10,462 + miscellaneous

Second day of E-Load Unlimited

No big difference at all. Gross sale is only P4,312. Net could be between P370 and P480 only. Next strategy: fill the store with other products like cellphone accessories.

Here's the update for the newly opened E-load Unlimited:

I only got P3,250 gross sale today and net sale between P260 and P420. Supposedly we're open at 10am but because the showcase arrived late, we opened at 3pm and closed at 10pm. We lose half of the sale. On its first day, the net sale did not covered the daily space rental which is P533.30/day. Not bad if we started at 10am. Hopefully we'll catch up by tomorrow.

Making the Most of Google Search Form

It took much of my time thinking how to have tags and categories on this free blog site from Google. One of my options is to use Blogrolling. Another one is to create more blogs as pages of categories and this main page linking to those sub-blogs. If I have to post an entry on the main blog and on another blog, I can email my entry to post to this blogs at one click of the Send button from GMail.

I finally decided to use Google Search Form to search for whatever tags or categories I applied to every post. Google is fast to index my site, so starting this day all posts will have tags starting with t and categories starting with c. I'm not sure if this is a cool idea or what but this is it. T or C, there you go!

Been updating my template. Still prefer a simple white. I let this go on for days before changing.

I'm closing my store tomorrow in Concepcion. I was tired tonight moving stocks to my store in Brgy. Nangka. We started at 9:30pm and partially finished at 10:30pm. We're going back tomorrow 7am to get the aircon.

Birthday

My officemates were all teasing me to have a party. One told me he did not bring any food for lunch because he is expecting me to give a treat in KFC. It did not happen. Only few knows my birthday in our Design Department but then he emailed them all.

My boss asked me then, "Is it your birthday?"

"Yes."

"So, how old are you?"

"Thirty."

Then some from other departments came in and heard it's my birthday. They asked me where's the party. Give him a chick. I couldn't help myself but smile.

During lunch time one of my officemates, teased me again.

"I did not bring food today because I know it's your birthday. Are we going to KFC?"

A look and a smile was only my answer. He also know that I can't treat them because of the current situation.

I had so many dreams last night and part of it was me having a new job.

I have decided to quit my job. I did not tell my boss yet because today is my birthday and I don't want to spoil it.

Tomorrow will be the right time. God knows it's not all about money that I'm quitting. I'm bored to death and I want to get a life.

Right now, I'm thinking what reason it could be for my boss to withhold my resignation. The current project? Maybe, but a project is always there or else our business wouldn't be there.

What else? Because there will be no more staff in our department? I don't think it's reasonable. They can hire while I'm still there for a month.

Let's see what will happen tomorrow.

You think I did not celebrate my birthday? Nope. I did but only with Edzel, his wife and Mary. We ate at Golden Fork restaurant after I bought a 80GB external USB hard drive. Can you guess where I'm going to use it?

We have fun with Tiya, the sister of Amar, while eating in the restaurant.

Flyers

I made a distribution of flyers in Rosario Overpass this afternoon for Wi-Max. Estimated number of flyers I gave away is 100 pcs. For that quantity, only one (1) person contacted me. On top of that there's no guarantee that he or she will avail the product.

Tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock, I will distribute 500pcs of flyers for Igen-Portal. What do you think? Is it best to give flyers on working days or Sunday? I think it doesn't matter as long as our office gives orientation on a daily basis.

Question: Is there a law in the Philippines prohibiting handing out of flyers?
